CBD use results in more satisfying and less painful sex

In a recent study published by Remedy Review, researchers examined the effects of CBD on sex. Of the 5398 Americans surveyed, researchers focused on 502 of them (9.3%) who used CBD before sex.

Of those surveyed, 54% were men and 46% were women. 80% described themselves as heterosexual, 16% as bisexual, and 3% as homosexual. The survey has two limitations - respondents did not specify the dose of CBD they used before sexual initiation, and the form of ingestion - dried CBD, CBD oil, ointment, etc.

Here's what the 502 people surveyed answered about using CBD during and before sex:

  • 72% of men and 76% of women said they experienced stronger orgasms
  • 66% of men and women use CBD to relieve anxiety related to sex
  • Men took 31% longer to orgasm
  • Women reported a 33% faster orgasm
  • 57% said they were "more satisfied" with their relationship
  • 87% of men and women took CBD together
  • 69% are likely to still use CBD for sex

CBD in relieving pain after sex

The study found that 26% of women surveyed use CBD to relieve pain and soreness after sex. Of those, 39% found CBD to be "moderately to very" effective, 59% found it to be "somewhat or slightly" effective, and only 2% found it not effective.

Can hemp CBD flowers help? They certainly can't hurt. CBD's effectiveness in relieving pain in women is very important, as the landmark report "Sex in America: A Definitive Survey" indicates that about 20% of women experience pain during or after sex, and that number increases to about 33% after menopause.

Does CBD help relieve sexual anxiety

A survey conducted by Remedy Review found that 66% of men and women use CBD to relieve sexual anxiety. 61% of men and 57% of women said it helped with "worries about sexual performance," and 44% of men and 37% of women said CBD helps to some degree to relieve fear and anxiety about sex.

"The brain is the largest sexual organ in our body," said one of the study authors. "It's not the penis, not the vagina and not the clitoris, it's your brain. CBD has shown that it can definitely help reduce anxiety. One of the things your body reduces when it's in a state of chronic anxiety is libido. One aspect of cannabis and hemp is that they work with the nervous system and can lower stress levels, which will translate into sexual experiences."
